    Your favorite strap/bracelet

There have been many threads about your favorite watch, etc. but I don't recall any having to do with your favorite strap/bracelet. So, I'll throw out the first pic... my Phantom on a Zulu 2-ring black strap. That is, until my UTS 1000m comes in this week (I promise pics).

Looks great Scott-I would have to say my Hirsch Mobile on my Hamilton is by far my best/favorite post factory combo. As far as originals go, it has to be my Seamaster......smmooooth

I was waiting for someone to ask about straps and you have. As a 14 year old (in 1958) I received a Wittnauer automatic watch from my parents. The strap was very unique: it had a silver bracelet in the middle and on each side of the links was leather with a swirl of metal reaching to the end. I know this is hard to picture and I can't show it as it was destroyed in a fire in 1976, but I have never seen anything like it since.

My fave strap because of the deployant clasp. Plus I love the brown combo with the black face.

To be honest: I have none which is my favorite strap/braclet. What I am always trying is to add the right strap to the "charakter" of my watches. What I think is a very good combination is the Nomos with its Cordovan strap.

I agree with you Mike. You have to find the right one for the watch. Having said that, I do have some favourites. I love Jürgen's straps and often put the aviators on watches they aren't particularly appropriate on They're just really comfortable. I also really like Di-Modell straps. I think they're the best of the mass produced straps. Eddie Platts' NATO straps are the nicest I've seen for that style.

I just really love leather goods. In my earlier years, I trained horses, so I grew up around leather tack. Even then, I was very aware of quality construction and workmanship. So now when I buy straps, I pay attention to how they are constructed and how they feel, not just the style and look on my watch. After buying loads of straps, I know what I like and what I don't. I won't put a crappy strap on my watch. Just like with watches, you usually get what you pay for!
