    Your Nickname

We've read about who you are, the watches you collect, and have seen your photos of yourself. The last question on this topic can only be how you got your nickname. So, I'm curious. How did you come to your nickname?

I'll start. My name is Scott and the "3670" was my badge number when I was a federal agent. At that time I wore an Omega SMP.

This is gonna proove I'm a geek in more ways than one:

My Hero - Nikolai Joukowski (1847-1921) was a Russian mathematician who did research in aerodynamics. He developed the Joukowski's transformation so that mathematical models could be developed of airflow over airfoils & engineers could predict the amount of lift and drag an aircraft wing would produce.

My nickname is almost completely random but I it's my first and longest running e-mail. It was around halloween when I picked it and I like Jack-o-Lanterns.

I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail (AT) back in 1996; my trail handle was Quixote, however most fellow hikers couldn't pronounce it so i shortened to "Q".. so i already had a handle in the real world and my online handle is the same:
    Q AT96

I had a house in Northern Virginia about a 1/4 mile from the trail in 1996. You may have hiked right by my house!

    Re: Your Nickname

Mine was a nickname that school friends came up with. It doesn't really have any meaning or relevance to anything but it's just kind of stuck.
