Your opinions on these quartz divers

I'm winding down my wild spending with a couple of quartz divers. This may be about it for my watch buying for a while. We shall see. I hope we won't.

It has been very difficult for me to find a quartz diver I like, given my eccentric tastes. I've assembled a large selection here, and probably I'd be happy with any of them. I put the watches in two groups: on the normal side, and on the wild side. So pick one from each group or give me your 1st two choices.

My main requirements are an easy read, and at least 200m water resistance.

    What are your thoughts?

    On the normal side
$1,400, sapphire crystal, ceramic bracelet links and bezel, perhaps my favorite of the bunch, 41mm. A real beauty.

$800, Super easy to read dial, polished quarter bezel enhances low light use, 41mm, almost a tie with the one above

$800, all titanium with polished stainless links, sapphire crystal, 41mm

$350, a bargain compared to the ones above, sapphire crystal, 40mm, perhaps my least favorite

    .
    .
    On the wild side
    These all have mineral crystals

$200, 46mm, braille dot on bezel enhances low light use of bezel

$600, Myota movement, tritium tube illumination

$140, 1000m water resistance, a bargain clunker with super easy read, large braille dot on bezel enhances low light use of bezel.

Vostok would be something not seen all the time.

I think all of your choices offer a lot of variety, and each would be a good selection.

I like the Certina, looks very nice. I'd consider the Vostok also. Sottomarino goes on sale very often and the overall quality is nowhere near the others on your list. The Tissot is quite popular as well, but in person it doesnt stand out as much IMO. I wont even consider the Precimax at 1/3rd the price you've stated.

Me too. Of the first group, I guess the Certina. But the VE is the chronograph I like the most of all. I would wear one. The rest is a question of what I dislike the least.

What's going on? I've only been away for an hour.

Doboji has started a thread about quartz perpetuals. You're picking a quartz diver. What's with all the quartz watches?

You're funny. Just the timing I guess. You never know what you'll miss.

I've been wanting a quartz for years. I've bought and sold a few trying to find one. I like that quartz is always running and I can grab and go, even if its been sitting for weeks. With my higher end purchases out of the way for a while, I've had time to look at quartz lately.

I'm a little surprised at the popularity, so far, for the Vostoc. Looks like the Vostoc will probably be it.

I thought that Herbelin was just a beautiful watch. I'm surprised it hasn't had any takers.

Another benefit to the Vostoc, it gives me the option to sell my Ball Hydrocarbon (I want a watch with tritium gas tubes) which would eliminate a watch that is relatively pricey to service. I like that.
