Your reason for having a chronograph

I tried to search the forums for a thread like this but I didn't find anything, so here it goes!

I have been wondering why many watch enthusiast like chronographs. I'm not the biggest fan of them myself, but I do have a Wenger Rallye chrono because of the sporty racing image.

So, is it just the looks or do you really need the timekeeping function? Or is it maybe something else? Feel free to answer the poll. I'm not so sure if the options are too good, but let's see...

I like the looks and the added complexity, especially on a watch with a display back

Im not so fond of chronos... Busy dial and more expensive to service..

Only one I really like is the Speedmaster because of the history.

    Im weird... I know

I like watches with dials so cluttered that it's tough to tell the time.
