Your Recommendation for Casual Beater – Specific Criteria

Hi all, I'm looking for a casual beater and would love to get your input. I am not sure a piece like this even exists but my criteria are as follows:

    Max $500 USD (used okay)
    Mechanical,manual preferred over auto
    GMT/World Time
Blue Dial orwhite/silver dial with significant blue detail

    Thanks!

Search for seiko gmt automatic on amazon or the interwebs. There are several options well under $500.

If you want something special, have a look at the Vostok Europe Gaz 14:

Available for $330,-. But it's automatic and I'm not sure if it could be called a "casual beater".. Still, you would get a very unique looking watch, an inner 24h bezel you can set to a second time zone, and the Vostok 2426 is a great movement.

For all the oohing and awing over Grand Seiko, what Seiko truly does best is the cheap but really well built beater. I'd put my all too scarce dollars with them knowing that my grand kids will one day wear it.

I would have to side with a Seiko as well. Quality build, quality movement, and will last you a long time. Great bang for your buck, and definitely under the $500.00 price point.
