    Zeno or ML?

    Hi everyone

I am new to this wonderful site but been a silent reader for a long time. I'd like to use your expertise, beside my personal preference, to help me decide between the following:
    1) Zeno Watch Basel Godat II Regulator - UNITAS 6498M
    2) Maurice Lacroix Pontos Rectangulaire - Automatic ML 143

    Zeno

Thank you very much in advance...

Welcome. My vote goes to the Zeno. Personally, I don't like the Maurice Lacroix, it is not my style. IMO the Zeno will give you more versatility.

I own a Zeno Watch Basel Big Pilot and I love it. It gets a lot of wist time. IMO, Zeno is a great brand that doesn't have much attention around here.

    Maurice Lacrois all the way!

The Zeno as a classic, vintage look, but it lack some punch.

The ML is a nice mixe of classic and modern.

That Zeno is a looker! The ML strikes me as a watch that the designer was trying to put too many design 'features' in one watch.

Too different to be compared. If I had to go for a Regulateur Zeno would not be my choice but Sinn.
    Kind regards

The Zeno is by far the better looking of the two. Mind you my opinion might be coloured by the fact that I'm not fussed about square watches.

    Re: Zeno or ML?

The Zeno Regulator is a more unique movement, the movement seems better decorated and presented, the dial is kinda neat.

The ML is a much nicer case in person, I can tell you this because I have a Pontos with this case, its finishing, polishing, edging are exceptional and a big step over Zeno. Zeno is a bit generic when it comes to casing and finishing.

That said the negative for the ML is its a tad biggish in person and has a generic Sellita movement.

I would pick the ML more for overall quality, design, and brand. Zeno if you want a more unique movement from a relatively unknown small brand.

Of the two I prefer the Zeno. No other reason other than aesthetics. I just think it looks nicer and can be worn in more varied situations.

    Re: Zeno or ML?

I don't know how much the Zeno regulator is but if it's the same price as the Sinn I agree with Mike I would go for the Sinn they appear to be the same size watches.

That being said, between ML and the Zeno it has to be the Zeno for me. I have a Zeno watch with Bauhaus design and the accuracy of the watch is superb.
