    2020 Speedmaster 321 "Ed White" 311.30.40.30.01.001

I like it, but I am also still more than happy with my run-of-the-mill Speedy Pro. And my kids get to eat lol.

The price for me puts the whole industry into laughable perspective. If a Rolex steel sports watch can cost over $10k, why not Omega?

As someone who is entering the fourth year on the Daytona waiting list, I will admit that this watch is giving me second thoughts about sticking to the original plan.

Itís the same size as the Speedy FOIS. Itís just simply a Speedy case without crown guards.

Unless you plan on keeping the Speedy EW forever, it would be a poor choice over the Daytona. The Rolex will undoubtedly hold its value longer... and not to mention is a better watch, setting aside aesthetics of course.

Beautiful version of the Speedmaster. Here's what to consider: 1) How much do you really want a 321, 2) Ceramic bezel with the dot over the 90, 3) Price, 4) Value retention.

Omega is really taking a chance with this. I can easily see it not selling out. That's alot of money for a 2.5Hz (18,000 bpm) movement. Maybe they should've retailed it for $8k. Are there really that many Speedmaster aficionados that lust after a 321 caliber?

The thing is their capacity is only 1-2k per year, so I think they do have that many whom lust.

Thereís a demand for the 321 for sure, itís why vintage Speedies command the price they do, in addition to some of the aesthetics from that era.

I think the real question is whether the 321, ceramic bezel, and vintage dial is worth $11,000 CAD more than the standard Speedy.

Hard to spend $14k on a Speedy. But I do like the fact that it's a 321 (column wheel & all) and that it's made by one person, 1000-2000 pieces.

This whole notion of it being made by one person is such a marketing gimmick though, come on. Donít fall for that as the reason it demands a higher price tag...
There is no reason this has to be made by one watchmaker.
