    Aqua Terra vs Explorer

I own and love my Aqua Terra. So why do I keep having a nagging in my brain to sell it and get an Explorer!?!

    Because you’re on these forums.

If you need a date window, stick with the AT. For me personally, I use my date window A LOT so I need my watches to have them.

If you don’t need the date window, try it on and if you like it, get it if it’s bugging you so much lol

Believe or not after I got my Explorer I was once tempted to get an AT. I even tried it on a couple times at the boutique but no it wasn't for me, the AT is more blingy than the Explorer and it's not my cup of tea.

Try it on and see if the Explorer speaks to you. I know it's not easy these days as even the Explorers are hard to come by at ADs.

Fairly certain that your brain will begin nagging you about another watch a while after you've acquired an explorer, regardless of you selling the AT first or not.. Which is why many of us on this forum have more watches than there are days in a week.
Keep the AT, save for the Explorer and wait for "the call" and sell the AT down the road if it doesn't get any wear..

I had a black-dialled AT and sold it for an Explorer. I miss the date - but the proportions (i.e. thickness) of the AT really annoyed me on a daily basis. The adjustability of the Explorer is another great benefit.

For me, it's the AT. I like the exhibition 8500 co-axial movement with independent hour hand, the date window and the AR coating on the crystal.

Also, it's half the price and readily available.

    Re: Aqua Terra vs Explorer

I got a call a couple of days ago form my AD that they have an Explorer 1 available so I went yesterday to have a look at it. I was underwhelmed by it to say the least. People like to refer it as understated, the only watch you will ever need, the perfect rolex or what not, but in my opinion it's just a boring watch. I would choose an Oyster Perpetual for example over the Explorer anytime.

I was once troubled by the same question. Not any more...
