I'd go Skyfall, but I am partial to that generation's Aqua Terras (vertical lines w/ date frame).

That said, I am primarily posting to remark that I find it fascinating that the Spectres sell for less than the Skyfalls, given the updated movement in the former and the very limited cosmetic differences. Wonder if it is the polished links doing them in...

I wonder the same thing. Something I’m thinking a lot about.

The polish center links can be brushed; if the price difference is big would say Dan then go for the Spectre

    Re: Aqua Terra Woes

You know I had the 41mm version of the Skyfall. But lately I have started preferring the look of the new one. For whatever reason the 8500 ATs look a little dated to me and the new one fresher.
If you get the blue one it is probably more versatile on bracelet than the rubber. Not sure whether a blue watch with blue strap goes well with all the clothes you wear.
Against the majority of the comments I would vote for the new one on bracelet which is then fully brushed.
    Good luck, Dan

The 38.5mm Skyfall is a grail watch of mine, so I'm biased. That said, get the Skyfall! For all the reasons you mentioned. Vertical lines, the blue of the dial, the framed date at three o'clock and brushed center links.

Watchfinder currently have a 2013 38.5mm Skyfall complete set for £3300 on their website. However, a friend of mine recently purchased a 2014 Skyfall from WF and they let him take it for £2900 no questions asked. Haggle and see what they're willing to part with it for?
They do seem relatively popular as four have gone from C24 in December alone.

Tough choice between all three. However, it sounds that you have deep regrets selling your original "Skyfall" AT. And the way I see it, the only way to overcome this regret is to get another "Skyfall: AT.

The Skyfall AT8500 was the height of the Aqua Terra line in my opinion. I deeply regret selling mine, especially since they were only produced for such a short period.

I would scoop one up in a heartbeat. I never see them come up for sale around me.

Skyfall. To me that's the ultimate AT, and it's also on my list to acquire is I can ever find one.
