    Aqua Terra Woes

    Hi All,

Me again So I’ve decided to get another Aqua Terra....

A little history. I first bought the 2500 starburst blue dial from Michael off this forum. A beautiful watch no doubt. Didn’t keep it long as I was in full “dive watch” swing so it sang little to me and I sold it on...

Not my photo by the way.

Next I bought the 8500 38.5mm ‘Skyfall’ worn by Daniel Craig. Another seriously beautiful watch. Alas....still in ‘dive watch’ mode and it was sold on after a few months.

Well the itch is back and I’m looking for advice or thoughts.

    The contenders are:

Another ‘Skyfall’ AT. Love the vertical lines, framed date aperture and the tone of blue used for the dial is incredible! With the fully brushed bracelet and you have a winner. But they seem bloody hard to find and cost £3000+ plus pre owned. (ok I’ve been speculatively looking for a week or so)

‘Spectre’ 38.5mm AT. Pretty much the same as above except the date has no framed aperture, the bracelet centre links are polished and the movement is anti magnetic. Cheaper than the Skyfall version at £2600-3000

Then there is the 2017 38mm AT

Horizontal lines on the dial (look nice) , date window at 6pm (looks good) , dial is symmetrical now and case too, looks great on the rubber strap (could get one for another reference if I chose though) The downside is it appears that the blue used on the newest reference is considerably lighter than the ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Spectre’ versions.

So......which should I go for? Owner options particularly welcome and all others welcome too

    Thank you.

    Aqua Terra Woes

    Well Dan:

    - Don’t like the garage door lines of the new model

-The date window with the frame looks better than without.

-The antimagnetic of the second edition is cool but aesthetics goes first!

    Go Skyfall !!

The Skyfall heads the line already. It’s damn near perfect. Pains me that I sold mine on. It would be the first watch that I’ve reacquired. Says a lot for sure. You owned one too if I recall correctly?

Haha. The sickness is real! Quite incredible, but there isn’t a single Skyfall up for sale currently (that I can find anyway)

    The AT................WHAT A WATCH!
Great choice of watch, Dan. It can be dressed up, or down, with a quick and simple bracelet/strap change.

Aside from the Sub’s it’s the only watch I like on bracelet, but I would be keen to try a dressy NATO or suede strap

    Dan,

Get another Skyfall. I have always liked the framed date aperture. You sound partial to the color and the vertical over horizontal lines so..
