Im gonna bust out crying. Youre right, the fact that I am pissed when I am sold a used item as new and then lied to about it makes me an idiot. I should be just tickled to death that I got anything.

Give me your address and $3,400 and I will send it to you postage free.

    Lets get this done.

Maybe if you polished for a solid month with one, you could round an edge. But in any realistic scenario they are foolproof.

    I also recommend a headlamp, and a jeweller's loupe.

However, if the you're happy with the rest of the watch, then don't worry about it. That scratch can be easily fixed, so stop banging your head against the wall. I think I understand how you feel, but forget about Joma, you had a bad buying experience with them and you should proabably never shop there again, but the wearing experience is independent of the wearing experience, so don't let one affect the other.

Just enjoy your watch! And remember that your wife was probably not a virgin when you met her, but she's still the best thing that ever happened to you (no idea if you're married, but you get what I mean).
    Thank you,

I am moving on. Im not losing any sleep over this.

Although Perceus did make me cry a bit, I'll be ok.

I just wanted to explain my buying experience with Joma in case someone else may need to hear my story in order to make a decision.

    Thank you,

    I agree. Lesson learned.

Honestly mate you could probably buff this out solo with some cape cod but if you don't trust yourself just get it polished out by a watchmaker (someone you trust). If you don't have a watchmaker you trust then thats another issue altogether. This hobby's back is grounded on consumers knowing how to take care of their watches and good watchmakers that fix mistakes.

And lets not forget people not F-ing up their watches by doing something they shouldn't be doing. If I could practice on someone else's watch,... I would try that first.

I do know one I trust that is great on the inside and another that is great on the outside.

But, honestly I am going to leave it alone.

Im not worried about the scratch, I am pissed about buying a used watch at the price of new.

But your point is well taken,

    thank you,

Oh definitely for sure. Plenty of people doing things with watches they shouldn't be doing (just saw a guy lifting weights while wearing a two tone Rolex Submariner). I am just like... you serious?
Yeah its frustrating to buy a new watch and see it has cosmetic defects. But this is the struggle with buying from a grey market dealer sometimes people will return watches and they don't take the time to check to make sure something hasn't been messed up before they ship it off to the next person.

I would be upset if this happened to me. That said, of course they are going to sell returned items as new. They would not be able to stay in business otherwise.

    Re: Beware the JOMA

Find out how much it would cost to get the scratch fixed...I bet you'll still end up saving money on the overall cost of the watch. I know its the not best solution....but it is A solution.
