I am going to be buying a watch from the Omega boutique store but needed your opinion on a possible error. The watch is a limited edition watch that usually has the words “limited edition” and “xxx/3000” on the caseback.
This is a new watch.
The thing with this watch is that it does not have the “xxx/3000” on the caseback. I talked to the store manager and they would be willing to write a letter that says that it’s an error and it should have had the numbering on the back.
The paperwork such as the warranty card and all has the numbering.
Is it advisable to buy a watch if it has such an error?
Will the letter help?
I don’t care about resale value as I want to keep it for a while but if my financial health or job goes then I will need to be able to sell luxury items so as long as it doesn’t lose more value than a similar “numbered” watch then I’m fine.
