Congrats on your SMP. Its perfect as an end game piece. I admire people who can stick to one watch. Maybe one day!

Yeah, that's the plan. I have a feeling once this is all paid for and a few years go by I might get the itch for a Planet Ocean, but I sure do like this one so far. I feel somewhat guilty though, since I put it on a watchgecko sailcloth strap yesterday and I almost like it better on that vs the bracelet. Understated but still classy and I don't even notice I'm wearing it. If I had to pick one nit with the watch overall it's that the bracelet is just a bit too flashy for me, prefer the three link one that's all brushed on the Planet Ocean. Fantastic fit though, and the adjustable clasp is amazing.

There’s always another watch, but if you last a couple of years then fair play to you.

I’m also not a fan of that bracelet. I’d have it on the OEM rubber. Looks great and wears so good

Yeah, I think it's going to be on the sailcloth strap quite often. I have a rule though, any watch I buy I get on the bracelet unless one isn't offered. I think the price difference between the rubber and bracelet at the AD was about $100, but if I buy the bracelet separate it's insane. Easier to find aftermarket rubber/cloth/leather straps that fit for much less. Might have been a tougher choice if it was the new Planet Ocean type strap, I really like the look of that. Looks like the Oris strap (best rubber strap ever) with leather on the outside.

    Re: Endgame

I can see why that could be an end game watch, especially with plenty of strap options.

Congratulations. Looks great on your wrist.

I agree with your "buy on bracelet" rule, but what I meant was, I would have bought the OEM strap for it and wore it on that

We'll see, might end up looking into that. I have a tough time justifying that kind of expense for what's essentially a piece of molded rubber, especially with so many other option out there. I did spring for the Oris strap, but that was mostly due to the proprietary lugs and nice adjustable clasp. We'll see what else I find for this thing.
