I wasn't really looking for an Omega but apparently one was looking for me. I scored this in a recent trade and, though it is by no means a popular model, I'm very pleased so far! It is a Seasmaster 120m Chronometer (2501.31) and was something I had never even heard of prior to this one. Any thoughts? I think it'll make a good dress watch. It may not last long in my collection either.
Side note: I have no doubts about its authenticity but I've never seen "ST-823" stamped like that in the center of the end link and have also never seen such an off center case number on the lug. The 1501/823 stamp on the clasp is a little light too. Interesting variations... I'll have my local watch maker crack it open and I'll contact Omega to get a definite date on it (late '90s, right?).
At any rate, I guess I'm an Omega owner now !
