A little less then 6 years ago it was a wedding present from my wife. My father also passed down his omega on my wedding day as well.
So I got two on the same day. lol
I have 5 omegas and 1 Tudor now.
I bought a speedmaster the day I found out my wife was pregnant with my son. I bought my 2nd omega (a seamaster) the day I found out about my second son.

I bought my first Omega at the age of 52. I had worn my only watch, a TT Datejust, daily for almost 25 years and decided it was time to buy a second watch, a chronograph, and of course the Omega Speedmaster Pro was at the top of my list. The family happened to be vacationing in St. Thomas when we decided to browse in a jewelry store called Little Switzerland. When I tried the watches on, I thought at the time that the Speedy Moonwatch was just a little too big for my smallish wrist, but the proportions of the Reduced just didn't look right to me. The Omega I wound up purchasing turned out to be a Speedmaster Michael Schumacher. I liked the size, the carbon fiber dial (I was into F1 Racing at the time), and the price was right because I was not into the nuances and history of watches back then. Fifteen years later I bought my second Omega, but I still don't have my Moonwatch because I purchased a 60th Anniversary Speedy.
Bond SMP as a 10 year gift from the company I was with (was around 40 when I got it). Why, Bond why else!
47 years old after working in the Kuwaiti desert for over a year.
It was my dream watch as I am a space nut and read all about the space program since I was a teenager in the 1980s. I also love motorcycles and eventually decided that I would rather get another bike than wear a Speedy so I sold it for a bit more than I paid for it and bought a nice bike for a couple of hundred over what I got for the watch. I guess I am the kind of person who can't reasonably see wearing the price of a motorcycle on their wrist :D
I got my first Omega, a 3570.50 Speedmaster, at 23 or so when I started making some money after college.

I bought my Speedy in 2016, duty free, before visiting the US for the first time and have great memories wearing it over there. I was 28.

Time is a gift...
When I was around 24 my grandfather gave me his 1952 Seamaster. He was getting older and wanted to see his grandsons wear and enjoy what he had collected over the years. It is priceless to me so it comes out a few times a year.
I didn't really get my first modern automatic till I was 31 and had completed my MBA...2201.50 Planet Ocean. In doing research for that I discovered these sites. Its been a slippery slope since!
