Got to wear a mission flown Speedmaster...

I had the opportunity to spend a little time with this beauty today. I never really appreciated the beauty and uniqueness of the Radial dial Speedmaster until I strapped one on my wrist.

    Very cool

By any chance, did you get a look at the case back- if so was it different to the standard caseback?
Any other pics you can share?

    Best,

The inspiration for the Speedy Tuesday 1. Very cool reference with an amazingly rich history. That's a serious piece you managed to try on there!

Yes, I do have additional pictures but these are the only two I'll share. I hope you understand. Yes, I took a good look at the case back. Different in what way? The radial dial Speedmaster case backs are similar to a modern case back without the writing on it and not polished. They almost appear to have been turned to remove the text but I'm not sure of the process. The flown NASA issued watches have the NASA P/N number engraved as well as a S/N XXXX centered under the P/N number. This had the NASA engravings.

Yes- of course, totally understand- thanks for sharing those two pics.

Ah, excellent. I was wondering what would be on the case back. Thanks!
