I'm looking for the half link compatible with the 1998, and that's not available anymore. Feeling your pain... :(

I got lucky and removed one link and adjusted clasp and mine fits pretty well. Its not perfect but I'm good with the fit!
Tutorial: Adding a half link to a Speemaster 1998 bracelet - Page 2
Like many of us, I can be a real Goldilocks about bracelet sizing ("too tight...too loose...just right!"). I had the same problem with my 1998 bracelet, and when Omega wasn't supplying (making?) the half-link, I thought I was out of luck. However, thanks to the above thread, I found out that the 1620 Clasp Attaching Link at 12, OME-118ST162012, does indeed fit the 1998 bracelet, and is a great solution. For my wrist, it's a perfect fit instead of a half-link, and it's actually a bit neater and more integral looking, since it just stretches out the existing clasp attaching link a little bit, rather than tacking on a link that doesn't match any of the others. (The bad news is that I can't find them on the same watch parts seller's site this week, so we might be back to using the half-link anyway...plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose!"
So I gather still no half links? I guess mine fits OK with the one micro adjustment on the clasp but still a bit lose. I decided to look on ebay and buy an older style steel bracelet for my speedy. Style of the links looks the same other than the clasp but it looks like it'll be more adjustable and I kind of like the etched in Omega emblem better.

My new Speedy Pro doesn't fit at all with the new bracelet. I have resorted to different leather straps from Bandrbands, Heuerville and the Strap Smith.
I really need a half link for the new screw/pin bracelet. Right now it's either very loose or too tight.
Recently not available, then it reappeared on Ofrei.com!
Not cheap, but I added it to my speedy pro and finally a perfect fit!
