I always thought the blue is the one to get but whenever I compare them side by side in the OB, I always find the black dial to be more appealing. And this is coming from a guy who have both AT and DJ in blue.

I definitely agree with the above comments. Black is way more versatile and if itís your only watch thatís the way to go. But if itís part of a larger collection go blue. This probably doesnít help since me and watches are like Charlie Sheen and ________. Just get one of each or in my case a black and blue two tone and just for safe measure a black SS.

For me, black speaks "formal", while blue speaks "casual". If you are stuck on both colours - go blue then.

I chose blue...but as others said if it was my main watch I would have gone black.

I have the blue/sedna version on the blue rubber strap, and love it, but I also have a 2254, a PO 2500 42mm black/orange, and a PO 8500 PO XL orange bezel, so I'm well-stocked on black-dial Omega divers, and the blue is a casual change of pace for me. Even with all that, and as much as I love the watch, there's at least once every couple weeks I wish it was the black version.

Long story short, I'd say if you're not 100% set on the blue version to the point where you're not even willing to think about the black, you should get the black one. It's a gorgeous watch, it goes with everything, and it's going to be a fantastic choice for a long time.

The blue is beautiful, and it's a great choice if you LOVE it, but if there's an ounce of doubt in your heart about how much you want to own the blue, you should IMHO get the black one.

I did a side by side comparison at the AD and also a "poll" over at Instagram. Blue was the winner and so here is mine.
