Personally my favorite of the new SMP is the white dial one.
Its got such great contrast, absolutely crisp.

For some reason I associate Omega Seamaster with the Blue better than the Black. Perhaps it's got to do with their previous generation Seamaster that was very very popular in blue (both electric & regular blue).

If I had to buy the SS version definitely blue. If I were buying the sedna gold variant, the black dial with the gold combo looks fantastic.

I had the same debate recently. I opted for the blue one. It looks much better in person and I love the way the dial and bezel change colors in different light. I've got several black dialed watches and I needed a little variety.Name: IMG_1700.jpg

Normally, I would say go for the blue dial. However, for this generation of SMP I think the black dial looks better.

Full disclosure...I love the blue dials on my 8500 AT and 8900 PO. I think the black dial on my 2254.50 looks solid.

You would think that black would be more versatile, but the blue will actually look great with anything - plus, the blue is more attractive IMO.
