How many of you wear manual wind daily and do you

Find it to be annoying? I am currently trying to decide if I would rather have a Speedy Pro Moon or a Planet Ocean, I have been thinking about this for some time and asked on a few other forums but still cannot decide as I am indecisive...

I love the Speedy moon but wonder if I will eventually get frustrated with its lack of date and having to wind it at least every other day and worrying about the plastic crystal (considered the sapphire sandwhich but like the original)...whereas the PO is an awesome watch and would probabily fit for daily wear but I have always loved chronos and prefer the looks of the Speedy.

Any thoughts or opinions greatly appreciated, thanks

I wear my sapphire sandwich everyday for almost a year.
    Not annoying at all.

I do change between automatic and manual and it has never bothered me. I like to wind my manual ones. Sometimes I wear one for a day or two, sometimes for weeks

Here you can see some of both

I love both but took the PO because of the water resistance, the date and I like divers.

But my next one will be a speedy pro. I think the winding is part of the great things of owning one and would only be a routine thing.

Mecahincal watches aren't about convenience. If thats what someone seeks, quartz is about as convenient as it gets.

I personally like "interacting" with my manual wind watches every day or so. It reminds me what truly mechanical wonders they really are. I also appreciate the fact that the manual wind reduces the complexity to some extent - no rotor/winding system to fail.

To each his own. I have a Speedmaster Pro and a Seamaster Pro on the way. I aslo have other autos in the collection at the moment, and I enjoy them almost as much. In the end, go with the one that makes you giddy every time you think about it: that always works for me

I don't find the daily winding to be an issue at all. It simply becomes part of the daily routine.

However, my Speedmaster Pro does not get wrist time due to the lack of a date function. I purchased a Speedmaster Moonphase earlier this year and find myself wearing that to the total exclusion of the Pro.

Not at all. I have several watches but all were basically retired six months ago when I went crazy, maxed my credit card, and bought a brand new Moon from the local Omega AD. I've barely taken it off since except for when I shower at night before bed. I wind it then. It is part of the routine.

And no, the Moon isn't too big for me. It's strong enough for a man...but made for a woman. B-)

    It's a bundle of joy

For the pleasure of wearing Speedy, I'd brush its hair, powder its butt, and sing it a lullaby every night. Really, I think that tactile feedback and the immediate participation make it that much more enjoyable.

Daily, it's been more than 44 years now. It was the Moncare that my
father bought for me in 1956. Still miss that one and my Bugs Bunny
before that. Bugs was right on.
