I say wear them, enjoy them and show them off. Do so especially if you never intend on selling them on. Would you buy a car and then not drive it just in case you one day wanted to sell it?
    Current Pieces:
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.51 (Black Bezel/Orange Nos)
    Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.50
Omega Seamaster Professional 'Electric Blue' 2055.80
    Seiko Orange Monster
CWC British Army 1997 issue 'G10'
    Garmin Forerunner 405

The nice ones that came and went:
    Omega WWW CK2444
    Ollech & Wajs ID-3077 (Orange)
    Suunto Vector (Yellow, +ive face)
    Suunto Core (Black/Orange)

I think it largely depends on just how limited the Limited Edition is. Omega is often criticized for producing a lot of LE models, and in relatively large quantities. If a model were only limited to the thousands, I'd wear it and enjoy it. If it were a very limited production, I'd probably be uncomfortable wearing it, so I wouldn't buy it.

First of all, watches are meant to be worn. Its like people who buy fountain pens and leave them in the box minty fresh. What's the point? Life is too short to buy something to just leave it in a box. Enjoy it or dont buy it in the first place. When you die whoever comes after you may wear them and enjoy the pleasure you denied yourelf by not wearing them.

Now, as much as I love Omega, their "Limited Edition" watches are not really limited edition. When was the last time 10,007 run was considered limited edition? Omega is famous for making tons of watches for each "limited edition" series they release .

Frankly, a lot of their "limited edition" theme watches leave a lot to be desired.

PS: Excuse my rant, I dont mean to offend anyone, just voicing personal opinion.

I think they should be worn. I have only owned one LE model, a Gemini 4 Speedy, which has since gone to a new home, simply as I didn't wear it enough....I did wear it, albeit somewhat sparingly, but in the end, decided that couple days a month wasn't worth keeping it for, so decided to let someone else enjoy it.

Well you didn't offend me, but that is probably because I 100% agree with you. To me, "limited edition" should mean 1 of 100, or even 1 of 50. Okay, maybe even up to 1 in 500 is okay. But 1 of 10,007 is just not limited. Heck, I have a $100 Vostok Europe that is 1 in 2,000...and it is never going to be worth more than $100.

As for the original poster, I guess I would say only refrain from wearing them if you view the watches as true investments that you plan or hope to sell for a profit some day. But (and it sounds like this is the case), if your purpose in buying them was to enjoy them, hold onto them, and then pass them on when you leave this earth, I'd say by all means keep wearing them.

At 5007 the Casino Royale PO is slightly more limited but still pretty commom I guess, I wear mine almost daily, and certainly far more than any of my others, the fact is, I rarely remember it is limited, wear em I say!

I wear regularly a Gemini 4 Speedy. At 2005 is one of the more limited Omega´s LE.
    I´m a wearer not a collector.
