In my case I believe I got caught in the hype.
I always loved the PO -Cal.2500, but I never liked the SMP-especially hands and bracelet.
After buying I couldn't glue with it so I moved it.

The same hype caught me with Grand Seiko.
    Everybody is raving about quality.
And while the quality is there, I find GS kind of bland.

I blame these forums for both.

I have both and old versions and find my self wearing the new two more often. Especially my TT it’s become my evening and weekend watch. My z blue has been moved out off the way and is fighting for wrist time.

Honestly can't tell if you're kidding. Your watch shouldn't hang off you like a bangle. It's a nice watch but you should buy appropriate to your body proportions.

I sold my black one because the dial was too busy with the wave pattern. I think the black is worse than the blue in that regard. Blue has slightly less contrast between matte and shiny waves. The white one will be interesting to see in the metal. I wish the dials were more matte like the full ceramic version.

Otherwise the watch is perfect. I loved it

Really think it's a combo of sales volumes and variance.
When I use the term "novelty" I mean a somewhat dramatic change in design language, something new and different (root of novelty indicates new), I was not making a judgement as to better or worse. Nor was I commenting on quality, nor indicating a design flaw. When I used flawless to describe my 2254, I was referring to condition...... just to be clear. I would not kick a skeleton hand SMP out bed, nor decline to wear one. The new design is more luxury than utilitarian. Different; not better or worse.
No, I'm sorry, I REALLY don't need another diver, I mean, I don't even dive and I have so many already, ........oooh, how much did you want for that?

What do you quantify as "sale"? The 15% to about 20% discounts you can get from the internet and authorized dealers are standard for Omega and just about any watch brand not named Rolex. Has been for decades.
