They’ll make an LE with Ryan Gosling’s face on each of the subdials.

They can't update it. If they update it, it is no longer the same watch NASA qualified for flight status. This is why the Moonwatch never changes.

Very good question OP! I was going to create the same thread at some point. I'm nearing my goal and I sold off almost all my watches to fund that watch. (Might change during the process...) But I wonder if I should wait before pulling the trigger. Just in case Omega make a few updates to the current model. (That are worth it of course) Probably not a popular choice but I wouldn't say no to sapphire glass, close caseback with engraving and ceramic bezel... If it ends up being just a new LE than I can pass.

That's not true. The watch you buy today has a number of changes from the watches that actually went into space and to the moon.

Maybe they'll update it to an actual moon watch 321 Cal and get it chronometer certified? No, theyll probably just add some cartoon character, a hash tag, and double the price.

Not sure what they will do but I'd love to see one with a hand wind master chronometer.

I doubt they will do much to the main watch but I am sure the 50th LE will be in huge demand. I hope to be able to get one. We’ll see.

I still regret selling the Apollo 11 45th.

Another limited edition version is a given. They have every six months it seems. Some have been a home run (the Snoopy) and some have been kinda of a bust. So we shall see.

    Re: Moonwatch update in 2019?

I despise the limited editions. It annoys me when I see a watch I would like to buy only to find it is sold out and will never be available again.

For the 50th I'd like to see a Speedy Pro with a panda (or preferably a reverse panda) dial introduced as a standard production watch as an addition to the regular Speedy Pro line. It would be a minimal investment for Omega - a dial and silver hands, maybe a DON or ceramic bezel - and they could offer it on both the Speedy Pro and FOIS. Omega would sell a boatload of them.
