Not necessarily appropriate for the 50th anniversary, but since we're talking updates to the Speedy...

My dream (and the purists can throw rocks): adjustable clasp, ceramic tachymeter, hand wound cal. 99xx, sapphire case back, and remains 42mm.

I am almost certain that Omega will do some sort of special thing for the Moonwatch next year, being the 50th Anniversary.

Why wouldn't they cash it in?

Perhaps an even larger Presentation Box?!

Or maybe a small piece of the Moon inside the Watch?

Just kidding, but I am sure that they will do something, and then do something Limited Edition.

    Maybe an Ultra Moon Man?!

Lunar meteorites aren't super-expensive. They would be able to pick up a bunch for about $100-200/gram. But they don't look like much until you have larger specimens. Of course, that just means they could add a 2gm piece and add $1000 to whatever price they charge...

Make one with 1450 style bracelet with an updated (not stamped steel) clasp!

For real tough, would these 'possibilities' stop you from buying a speedy this year? I'm nearing my goal 'money wise' and i'm having this dilemma. I'm sure to have a speedy in my collection at some point. (Thought it would be a good first luxury watch) I have other pieces in mind... Maybe the new Seamaster. (Even for that... October at best for availability) Food for thought...

50 years since Aplllo 11 and a new Bond film comes out!

No one has even mentioned that 2020 will be a new Snoopy opportunity (Apollo 13)...!!

Buy the watch now. The Speedmaster isn’t going to change. There will certainly be a limited edition for the 50th but who knows how much or how available that piece will be.

I hope they update the bracelet at least. The total lack of fine adjustability is inexcusable, imo.
