    Movement issues.

I’m looking at getting the Seamaster 300mc with the 8400 or the Aqua Terra with the 8900.
I stumbled across this thread where people were discussing issues with the 8500 having the hour hand getting stuck and needing to be sent in for service.
Has anyone experienced this issue with the 8400 and 8900 movement?

I had this problem with a PO with 8500 movement maybe 5-6 years ago. They were aware of it then and I dont think the later movements would be affected.

If you mean a failure of the hour wheel, then any watch that has a movement equipped with the quick change hour system can have this problem.

That was the problem I had so I stand corrected. Thanks for the right answer Archer
