My old uncle showed me his Omega Constellation today

My uncle said he bought it in 1960's. He was its first owner. Over these several decades he just occasionally put it on because this Omega was too dressy for his job. (He was a bus driver before his retirement last year.)
He asked me if I know how much this watch is worth in the second-hand market. I said I didn't know. But I made it clear to him that, if he really wants to sell it, sell it to me.

Looks like it is in beautiful condition. That needs to stay in the family!

I must say the dial is amazingly beautiful. Ages have left different shades of gold, pink and silver on the dial. (Can't find accurate words for the colors!) It's truly gorgeous.

My uncle's son does not wear a watch. He was sitting next to me when his father showed me the watch. He seemed quite disinterested.

I am a kind of Seiko man thus know very little about Omega.
When I was holding the watch, I immediately asked my wife: Look how beautiful it is! I think I need and should buy a great watch as soon as I can.
My wife gave me a little nod with some hesitation on her face.

Absolutely. Actually, you'd be doing him a favour, taking it off his hands.

Great looking watch that should stay in the family, if possible. But you are also family so it’d be great if you could make it happen.

Connies from the 1950-60s have unbelievably accurate movements. My SS from 1957 is easily within COSC.

You might take a look at Chrono24 or a similar platform for current prices.
