    New SMP - wow

I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from Omega (and this sub-forum) for some time now - had a Speedy Pro, Speedy Mk2, 3 dif POs, SMP EB, Seamaster 300, various vintage pieces, and got rid of them all (save for the acquisition of a blue Railmaster in a trade deal). During this time, and currently, I’ve been deeply entrenched in the Dark Side, having amassed 7 R-watches.

I have, however, recently acquired the new SMP. All I can say (actually not true as I can say more) is WOW!!!!!!!!!

Has the ability to change to a few dial colour contrasts by your pics , that blue skeleton handset looks magic in that case...
    Very nice piece..

Amazing photos! Thanks for sharing them.

I had not considered this one... but I'm going to have to have a little think about it now. I think it is the blued hands.

    Hmm.

The skeleton hands have been very polarizing, but I quite like them on the new model.

And I think I would have liked the blue and black models as well, but there is something about the silver-gray dial and blue hands that make this kinda special.

The silver dial to me was the ugly sister of the range, but your photos show that not to be the case. For contrast I would wear it on the blue rubber strap but thats just me How about a family shot with your other watches?

Good on you for going off piste with the grey dial. I think that model is a great change to the blue and black. That was the watch I was looking at last year as its a fairly dressy watch that can also take a beating and go anwhere. My AD said there wasn't as much interest in the grey in comparison to the blue/black but thats likely to change when the next bond film comes out (maybe ADs have been told its the next bond watch) so currently your model may be a bit polarising but once the next film comes out youll probably get stopped in the street. I think that watch in particular looks really good on the blue rubber strap. Theres a ton of watch for the money in the SMPs. Enjoy your watch in good health.
