They definitely have... Been trying to get a good deal on one for some time, and keep regretting why I didn't pull the trigger! Seen this trend on quite a few seamasters... The red seamaster logo ones (as mentioned above), and also the great white. They are all noticeably less available and for higher prices.

I am very happy with my ‘64.

Slim, versatile, classic, great WR, great lume, no fuss movement a perfect 1 watch.

Occasionally I wonder if I should have got a ‘54....but the other night someone accidentally whacked another automatic I was wearing at the time and changed its timekeeping ...I actually thought “man, that wouldn’t have happened if I was wearing my 64”

I wanted the 64 so I could just throw it on and it's what Ray Donovan wears if you ever seen that show. Sold my submariner because I liked this watch so much

    Re: Omega 2264.50

I almost bought a 2254 last week, and was going to get one over the "standard" SMP 300m for a few reasons:

1.) When they came out they weren't really an of-the-moment design, rather they went with a throwback '60s look. Because they weren't trendy when new they've aged better than watches that try to capture the zeitgeist of the moment. See any '90s Tag or early '00s Breitling for the opposite of this.

2.) That modern look is extremely distinctive; the large lume design is noticeable and eye-catching without being flashy.

3.) Legibility. The skeleton hands on most SMPs are nearly impossible to read at a quick glance, but the sword hands are incredibly easy to read and the lume is insane.

4.) Size. Not diameter, but thinness. They feel substantially thinner than the new SMP on the wrist, but still have a nice heft. Very easy to fit under a sleeve and therefore very useable.

So, that's why I think these are appreciating and why I prefer them over the new 210 series and other typical SMP 300m models.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

In the end though I decided to spend the extra money and went with a 2500 PO instead; I've learned (in a fairly expensive way, and over a long time) that with watches and cars I have to follow my heart and not settle or I'm never satisfied.

2254.50 here. I think the supply will only dwindle and the demand will increase. The dial and hands are so fresh and so clean, I learned the expensive way that I do not like skeleton hands and am now flipping my seamaster ceramic. This watch I almost sold until I took a close look at it again and realized it is practically the perfect watch, size, legibility, automatic, looks great in any shoes and did I mention the Lume! It is one of their best designs that they will never do again and so it will remain unique.

    Viva the 2254

I miss my 2254.50 as it’s at Omega service center for next few weeks to get a full service but my 2538.20 (aka Great White) is keeping me company. Both are amazing watches.
