I've checked out some old WUS links regarding strap options for a vintage Omega Mark II, and that is how I first heard about Hirsch and Heuerville straps, rubber and leather respectively.

I was able to check out Hirsch options in person and I'd like your opinion on whether an Ayrton or Robbie might be more suitable, per the photo I attached? I like them, but I am also still trying to find a nice "racing" strap in rubber, maybe less glossy than the Hirsch - like a Heuerville, but rubber. I live in the tropics and leather just isn't optimal.

Finally, how do you think a dive strap like a Tropic, Uncle Seiko waffle, or ISOfrane would look on this watch? Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I think it would look superb on a tropic. Check out squinky on ebay. He has period correct tropic straps and I have a few Rolex and Omega on them: Name: 8E0F56B5-AA17-4B65-A3AC-BB8A9BA6F1D2.jpeg

Thanks very much for the tip - looks great on the GMT - and of course right at home on a Seamaster!

looking at that picture, the upper band if first rate, but that lower one looks like it would have been the choice if it was offered in the late 60's
it really works well with that case and dial design
