I have changed to a Nato strap and for the most part love the look.
However, its too long and the loop back looks silly to me.
Is there any kind of service anywhere that can shorten it ?

Most are nylon and can be cut and singed by you with a sharp pair of scissors and a lighter.
Part of the look is the folded loop. They are supposed to be long to allow placements over thick wetsuits , air suits etc.. the sort of feature your regular action man needs.. therefore a short NATO strap looks a little wrong to me..
I am not sure I shorten my omega strap. It can be done but it will not look as clean. If you really want to shorten them buy some cheap straps and experiment a little. Some people use a coin as a template to create the rounded end.. google will be your friend here. I am not aware of any professional service which will do this.

They were too short for me. It would not really loop back well because there was not enough fabric left. Just goes to show you can't please everyone.
I want a none Omega nato someday for my PO
Most Nato straps I've seen are either 22mm or 20mm. My PO is 21mm. Would the 22 or 21 be a better option?
Omega Speedmaster Professional Speedy Tuesday - 311.32.42.30.01.001
Omega Aqua Terra 38.5 mm "Skyfall" - 231.10.39.21.03.001
Rolex Submariner "No date" - 114060
Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 - 116600
Rolex Daytona - 116500LN
In case you don't find a 21mm that you like, a 22 is the better bet, IMO. a 20mm will leave small gaps, while a 22mm will fill the space. It might look a little bunched, but I prefer that to the gaps. I used a 20mm on my 19mm Dynamic, and it looked fine.
If you buy some cheap straps to test your trimming technique, get some in each size to see which you prefer.
