Omega AT or Rolex MK II Explorer

For consistency, I will ask this question on the Rolex forums but I am curious as to the thoughts of this community on which watch edges out the other or just opinions on which one suits as that go anywhere do anything watch.

    Thanks !

Can you tell us which AT you're looking at? Ex. reference, dial colour, etc.

Re: Omega AT or Rolex MK II Explorer

My first real watch was the AT. It sat in my drawer for years until I learned more about it and fall in love with it every time I put it on.

I have a Rolex Explorer I and am OP, so can’t speak for the Explorer II.

I think the AT has a sporty look and also a dressy look. The Explorer II seems only sporty but do see people pulling it off in dress.

Cost wise you are looking at half the cost and something I see more versatile. Opinions may differ.

Best of luck in your search.

Omega AT or Rolex MK II Explorer

Are they comparable? Wouldn't the Rolex be about double the cost?

Explorer II white is one of my favourite Rolex watches. I'd go ExpII over any AT.

I nearly got one twice but preferred IWC and PO over it.

    Also Consider Seamaster Pro white

    Thanks!

Also, are you referring to the Explorer ref. 214270? The newest reference with the lumed Arabic numerals at 3, 6 , and 9?

Or are you referring to the Explorer II?

    Thanks!

Explorer 11 every day of the week. It won't get mistaken for a Seiko for a start.

I was referring to the MK 2 explorer. Black dial, 39 mm, Arabic 3,6,9 numerals.

That is a gorgeous photo of the AT.

I’ve never seen an Omega get mistaken for a Seiko....
