Not much into watches as an investment, but with that said, I’d recommend the Seamasters with the 321 movement from the mid-1960s. Reference 145.006 or earlier. I think they’re still undervalued, have the same movement as the highly valued Moonwatch Speedmasters, and come in a variety of wearable styles.

The Flightmasters are great watches, but will always have a lesser following due to their large (and unusually shaped) case sizes.

Some modern Omega's have increased in value ..... research and a little bit of luck will go a long way. Some examples below (some are beyond 5K mark but just trying to point out that relatively modern ones also increase in value, not just vintage).

    Omega Soyuz has increased modestly
Omega Alaska has jumped a significant amount
Omega Bond Limited Edition watches (from past experience, the value seems to increase slightly as a new bond film approaches / is released)

No one can really predict the future. But some obscure models that was released in small numbers or discontinued after short run may peak interest in serious collectors years down the road.
    Swatch Bunnysutra STGK101
    Swatch Tresor Magique SAZ101
    Swatch Diaphane One SVAK1001
Omega Seamaster James Bond 007 LE - 212.30.41.20.01.001
Omega Aqua Terra (White & Black)
Omega Planet Ocean Liquid Metal LE - 222.30.42.20.01.001

In 2004 you could buy a very nice Ed White for around £1000, 105.012's were around the £8-900 mark. Racing dial Speedies were mere oddities then.
Try finding a half decent 105.003 for less than £12k today. Or a 2915 for less than 70k.
This. Old collectible models that are hard to find and getting harder are the most likely to appreciate, but you have to pony up the money for one in fine, original condition. Accidentally got a franken? There goes the appreciation.

Anything relatively new is a gamble.

Which Omega watch as an investment?

Snoopy is one of the best modern examples of Omega watches that have increased in value.......... but unlikely to find one for £5k !!

I had a look and someone managed sell this Olympic edition watch second hand for $3700 USD, the retail price is $6950 USD. Lets say (guessing) he paid 20% off which is $5560USD.

    That's a hefty drop

I think it's tough to think that an Omega will appreciate. I missed the boat on the tin tin. I had a tough time deciding but for what I wanted. In the end u should just get what u want.
