I gotta say, at first it looked a bit small to me, being the first time I had bought a dive watch under 42mm, but once it was on my wrist I realized it's probably the perfect size for my 6 3/4 inch wrists.

What definitely threw me off too was how the color of the dial/bezel looks like in the Omega website versus IRL. In dark/dim indoors lighting, the bezel and dial look almost grey, and very reflective, but once you're out in the sunlight you can see the blueness a lot better.
Haha that *is* a great coincidence. Congrats on your new PO!

I had a similar initial reaction about the size, switching from larger watches to the 39.5mm diameter. However I got used to it quickly.

Also agreed on what you say about the color, though it doesn't bother me. The blue really doesn't come out well in artificial or dimmed light. I kinda like that it does that though. Makes it look quite different depending on when and where I look at it.

It’s a little concerning considering Omega stated this watch should never lose time - their words, not mine.
I think Al explained it well in the other thread. Omega's 0-5s is averaged over 6 positions, meaning that some of the positions might lose, and others will gain. I've been tracking it since I got it 8 days ago. Has been consistently losing at a rate of between -1 and -2 s/day, averaging currently at -1.1s/day. It had occasional periods during the day (presumably depending on position?) where it was gaining at +2s/day. I'm currently wearing it pretty much 24x7.

I'm not too concerned about it, but it's definitely interesting. Was expecting it to slightly gain as well based on Omega's testing.

Congratulations on the 58! There's still a lot I like about the Tudor. Will definitely risk a look at one once ADs get it in stock here (last update was late August).

Congrats on the PO8800 and nice review. My PO8900 is averaging +1.5 s/d. Great watch that loves being in the water.

Also like the looks of the Tudor but more interested in the BB bronze at the moment.

Took the PO on a dive today. It really works quite well in the water. The bezel is surprisingly grippy and easy to turn with dive gloves even when wet. Readability under water is decent (not as good as with my Sinn UX for example, but that's to be expected). First picture is underwater, the second on the surface after the dive.

I really need to quit opening threads about the PO 39.5. Every time I do I get this itch.....

Btw...Great watch OP. Enjoy and wear in good health
