Tried the 39.5 at the Omega Boutique in Sydney yesterday. Im thinking about selling my GS to fund it. The GS is a 40mm spring drive in midnight blue (im a onewatchguy). Do you guys think its a good change? I love the GS but the PO is spectacular. My wrists are 16cm

It looks excellent on your wrist! Can you upload a photo of your GS to compare it?

Apples and oranges, my friend. The Omega looks way more modern, it is an in-yo-face kinda watch. That Seiko is a sleeper.
IMHO, that Omega looks significantly better, and definitely so on your wrist.

Either way, you're not coming out of this conundrum a loser. So enjoy!!

The GS is nice, but a little plain in my opinion. The PO is much cooler and looks great on you. If you're ok with having a much sportier piece, I say go for it. I'm biased though, as I have the same watch and adore it.

I have been looking for this exact watch for a while. Prices in ADs are extremely high, so I am looking a second hand piece..
    Congratulations for the acquisition!

It wasn't visible all the time, but in the right light, it was very obvious once I started noticing it. Looked like it had fingerprints all over it, except that they wouldn't come off.

I did a bit of online research and learned that the PO's crystal is AR coated on both sides. I didn't know that it had coating on the outside until then. So the scratches made sense (I don't baby my watches). Since it was hard to "unsee" the scratches at this point, I decided to remove the outer AR coating. Based on some posts by Archer, I bought 0.5 micron diamond paste, and rubbed it on the crystal. At first I just used my finger, but then switched to a microfiber cloth so I could apply a bit more pressure. Took me about 5 minutes of rubbing to get the coating off.

The crystal does look a little different now, and depending on the light the PO has lost a little bit of contrast as there is more reflection on the outside of the crystal. The scratches are gone though, and I prefer it this way.

Other than this, the Planet Ocean is still working great and I'm still very happy with it.
    Well done!
