    Hi C.V.

The text from the advert says :
    "Movement/Caliber 8900z"
    "Case diameter 43.5 mm"

The model number given in the advert (below) is this current 43.5 mm model PO : 215.30.44.21.01.001

C.V. - have you checked if the seller is aware of the mis-match, & understands?

Might be an idea to ask him to check what he is actually going to ship you - could save a lot of time, shipping & return shipping expenses if it's not going to be the watch you expect...

    Good luck!

Before I bought it, i clocked in that the photos were for the limited edition and that the reference was for the new 215.xx.xx (8900 movement).

I assumed that they didn’t know that they got the references wrong, but didn’t want to point out the error or they would then know that the watch was the limited edition version and pull the advert.

The watch has now been shipped so I will have to wait until I receive it to get its authenticity checked.

They are a Bona fide seller so hopefully its genuine.

My aprehensión came after reading about possible fake versions after I had made the purchase and wondered if there are any tell tale signs of the fake versions.

I have one of these and a close look at your shots makes me think you might be OK. All the usual things like bezel pip date window etc check out Compared to mine. Missing text on the back of the case could just be wear, but I would take it an Omega store to get it checked out. If you get the watch in the posted pictures you are on to a winner if it checks out. I chose this watch over the newer 8900 version because it’s much more classy

Sometimes you can grab a bargain, mine came complete except it was on OEM rubber and clasp so price was down and I made an offer. By sheer fluke I had a spare bracelet for my standard 2500 - Winner!

Here are a couple of close ups of mine which might help you

That looks genuine to me. I think they had the numbers wrong. I see nothing wrong with this watch.

Just remembered there used to be a PO LM LE owners thread on here. If memory serves me right we all posted which number we had out of the 1948. You should look it u0 and add your number (or you may even find a someone on WUS was a previous owner)

    Cheers

According to this reviewer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0ln5wgpWMk), there's at most only 1947 now, since one's at the bottom of the ocean!

    Ok, here goes fellow enthusiasts.
I now have the photos of the watch.

It is the limited edition version as per their photos so it means that they didn’t know exactly what they had.

All I need to do is work out if it is genuine. Finishing is very good and all looks ok.

On the downside, the original box that they said it was coming in is just a red omega PO Box and not the original black/grey one.

Ordinarily I would contact the seller Chrono24 and have a grumble but if it’s genuine I’ve had a result and I don’t like to upset karma.

If anyone in the know could look at the photos and give an opinion it would be very much appreciated.
