    Re: Potential 2020 Watch Acquisitions

I want an every day beater, a fancier travel/gmt option, then theres my outlier grail piece. The Omega Grey Side of the moon.

Was able to try on the DSOM and GSOM side by side. I initially thought the DSOM would be my preference but in person the shiny black ceramic looked very plastic and "toy" like and i couldn't shake that view of it. GSOM on the otherhand knocked my socks off. It was just one thing after another. The subtle eggshell sheen of the platinum dial, the ceramic casing looking more metal than plastic, then when the SA broke out the darklight and showed off the tachymeter/crown lume that was all she wrote lol.

My first acquisition will be my everyday watch. The latest model Tudor BBBronze. Looks way more versatile than the older brown one.

Then after that I will have to make the decision to get my dressier/travel piece. the JLC Grande Date GMT or the GSOM. Grey market they're in the same price window but the JLC would obviously diversify my collection considerably more.

Just picked up a 3 month old Bremont at a fraction of MSRP on New Years Eve. It was delivered Jan 2nd, so it qualifies for 2020. If it stays, I'm done for a long while. But if she goes, I'm keen on a B&M Clifton Baumatic COSC or a Montblanc Heritage Automatic. Either, paired with my Seamaster, makes for a versatile two watch collection.

    Potential 2020 Watch Acquisitions

To be honest.... I think I'm happy with my watches for now

I'm am laying the seeds to convince my wife that we should buy a small boat in the next few years. It would accompany my SMP/PO nicely.

We live up the road from this, it would be a shame never to own a small boat

That you were about to find a Rolex 116000 quickly impresses me.

The Avigation BigEye is a very nice watch. The watch wears very well and at 41mm is a nice size(I tried it on at my local AD(also is a GS and Omega AD) and it fit well on my wrist.)

The pump pushers are great. They give off a solid click when pushed.

Despite having all those subdials and hands and things, the watch is easy to read at a glance. This would make a worthy watch to buy.

I was also a bit surprised that I was able to walk into an AD and they had the exact 116000 I wanted. I contacted another AD before I tried this one and they told me it would be a wait of 4-6 months for it.

    Not planning on any acquisitions.
If I can bring myself to it, I will sell a good portion of my collection.
Still need to fill that gaping hole in my savings, created in 2017 ......
