Question regarding spring bars & new straps.

Thanks for the input guy's. I've just ordered two Omega 068ST2207 spring bars.
Apparently, these are the one's I need if moving from the original SS bracelet, to the rubber/alligator strap.
So, I'll post pictures, once everything has arrived & been fitted.

I stick to OEM spring bars and change them out every once in a while on bracelets/straps I have worn a lot.

I did wonder when you would buy the OEM strap. Prepare to not use the bracelet much afterwards!

Traditionally when switching from a bracelet to a strap on an Omega, Seiko, Citizen and other watches, you have to get a different spring bar. This is because the one on the watch is a bit smaller (If you have a watch on a bracelet that is 20mm then the springbars on it are 19mm) this is because it is much easier and quicker for the factory to pop the bracelet on the watch. As there is no real side to side movement of a metal bracelet, the smaller bars fine

On a strap the flexing side to side (like if you wedge it against your pocket) will compress the strap and pop the bar off

On your strap, I am not sure as it has a beefed up end part that resembles (and should act like) a bracelet end link, so there is going to be next to no end flex, so I would think the spring bar that you have in the bracelet would work fine on a strap. Of course the new springbar might be a bit too long for the strap and might not work (just like trying to put the new spring bar in your bracelet)

but it is good you bought those new spring bars as those will allow you to use another strap or a nato and they are nice spring bars

It's considerably cheaper than buying that Ceramic 39.5 on rubber!

Okay, so here she is!
I really took my time, and even masked off the lugs, in an effort to avoid marking them. However, I still managed to put a couple of tiny marks on two lugs.
Oh well, it'll get marked, by just wearing it, I suppose. Annoying though, because I really did take my time and try to be careful. Oh well.
Anyway, here are some pictures, tried to show the marks I made, but they wouldn't show up. Must be a good thing!!

I got the recommended Omega 068ST2207 spring bars. They are slightly longer then those used to attach the original bracelet.
