Re-stitching an OEM Omega Leather Band: Which One?

I'm considering having a black alligator OEM Omega band which has black stitches (like the one shown below) change to white stitches. Does anyone know what wire / thread size and material is used by them? Wax or unwaxed? Someone recommended to check Rocky Mountain Leather Supply (www.rmleathersupply.com) but not sure which one to pick!

Why not just have a custom strap made? Seems like the cost would be similar. I realize this doesn't help. I was just curious about your thought process.

Well then, you're going about this all wrong. Obviously, you need a new watch to go on that band. And then you need a similar band with contrast stitching. And probably NATOs for both. :)

I would probably consult my local watchmaker, which in my case he would tell me to just buy another band that looks like what I want.
