Seamaster (2500D) came back from Omega Service Center out of Spec

    Hey Everyone,

Here's a strange one (at least to me). Has anyone seen a chronometer come back from Omega Service Center for a "complete maintenance service" and have the average daily rate be out of COSC spec? Even at the time of final check before leaving the service center and QC'd? The 2500D movement was listed as +9 sec per day on the QC card (my timegrapher shows it a bit faster than that even). I called the service center and the rep said that it appears to have been an "oversight" by the QC.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? It is still within warranty on the service.

    Thanks!

Kick up about that. You have all the ammo you need. A signed/stamped/official Omega document that the watch isn't running properly. How can that happen? Its not like theyre also stitching straps and boxing watches. Its a service centre for a brand that only make cosc watches so thats one hell of an oversight. On top of the regulation you should be able to get some freebies out of that. Best of luck sorting it

Best of look getting that sorted out. Seems like all the crazy service stories we hear come from the NJ service center.

Hmm. I see. So maybe they thought they were servicing a speedmaster. It could be within spec as that 9 seconds would be recovered on re entry to the earths atmosphere. And the astronauts would be able to take a dip in the ISS pool.
