Not for me.
Not for me.
Why would Omega make a 50th anniversary LE for the 6th film in the Bond franchise? Especially when Bond in that film wears a Rolex.
On top of that, the design is unreasonably busy (both front and back). There is no reason for those gold hands to be on there among many other design elements they chose. I am also astounded they made 7,007 of these as I don't know one person who would actually jump on this watch. People wondered if they made too many of the 50th LE Steel Speedmaster. I thought likely not because of the mass appeal. I have no answer for this one though.
If renderings are correct, I'll def be interested in the NTTD film-specific version (milanese/mesh bracelet, no date, black dial). Subtle is best and won the day with the Spectre.
First thought that came to mind... yet another Omega Bond iteration. Have you seen the giant watch box that holds it? There's a reason Omega releases Bond watches so frequently. They attract fair amount of attention and are generally well regarded by watch and Bond aficionados. I had the Aqua Terra Spectre watch myself, which had a spectacular dial.
This release? Not much excitement here. The gun barrel design dial has been done before. Its a step down from the wave pattern on the current collection. The rest of the details are gimmicky. Most people aren't going to get excited about the '50' print in the lume, or the case back design. Wish Omega did a bit more design work on this one.

Nah, all of these limited editions look tacky. I never see one on the wrist of an owner and think ‘yeah, classy’.

I don't know why, but the 12 o'clock applied index makes me think of the Twin Towers. The regular SMPc doesn't.....
