Seamaster clasp after service

Just got the good old PO 2201.50 back from service. Previously when I pressed the clasp buttons the bracelet was easy to undo...now when I press both buttons I have to give it a tug to get it open. Is this to be expected after service or should I take it back?

No idea if this is normal, but I replaced the clasp spring on my Speedmaster and it exhibited the same behavior. I used it for about a month and it returned to normal. I assumed the part where the spring overlaps and runs into the push buttons on each side was rubbing against itself and filed itself down with use.

Use it for a bit and if it continues, bring it back to the service center.

My AT has always required a little tug. The metal tolerances are probably a bit closer post service and might, as the previous poster observed, break up in after some use. Having to give it a tug might also lessen the chance of an accident. It might be a little different than before but I’d look at it as a plus.

Same thing happened to my Speedy clasp and I was told it is normal. I wore it a bit and the problem resolved itself. So I would recommend just that.
