    Seamaster clasp on Speedy Pro

    Hi All,
I have seen a couple of threads about the ability to swap out the new adjustable seamaster bracelet clasp with the one on the stock speedy pro bracelet. I have been considering doing this as the speedy clasp make it so that bracelet is either too loose and flops around, or too tight and leaves marks. Its a annoyance on an otherwise great bracelet. Die to this I have been mostly wearing the speedy on straps.

Have any of you made this swap? And if so, was it worth the roughly $250 that it takes to make the conversion in your opinion?

    Thanks!

Did this and is very painless. They did it for me at the Omega Boutique. Worth every penny. Lots of threads explain the parts you need.

I did this too, and it's been great. The only downside is the bulkier clasp, but the convenience outweighed the extra weight for me. I like lighter bracelets in general, and if you prefer the modern, more solid bracelets, it likely won't be noticeable.

I installed mine, but if you order through the boutique or an AD, they should be able to do it for you.

    Here are the options:

    117STZ001154 - 6 position adjustment
    117STZ004666 - 3 position adjustment
117STZ001159 - 6 position adjustment with dive extension

You'll also need 2 of the 118ST1589 end links and the hardware to connect it all.

Adding hardware numbers to connect the end links to the clasp:
    128ST0166 - Pin - 2 ea
    124ST3307 - Screws - 4 ea

This is perfect. Thanks so much!

Also- Did you source the parts through your AD? Or did you have an online vendor you could recommend? Thanks!

I did this on my PO and my 2254 and it's absolutely worth the investment imho

Topper is a sponsor here on WUS and I believe an Omega AD, I got all my parts from them and did the work myself, it's very simple (with the correct tools)

I bought mine lightly used through the sales forum here. They show up semi-regularly, but if they're reasonably priced, they sell quickly.

If that hadn't come up, I'd have gone with Topper, as Londonboy suggests. You can get the parts online sometimes, but they're often more expensive than buying from an AD.

I got all my parts for this (for an older seamaster) from an OB. Very easy and they were happy to order them. Omega takes care of their customers. If you have access to an OB just call them and they should hook you up.
