Seamaster SMPc bezel indicies too dark?

I’ve been looking at pics of other SMPc and it looks like my bezel is a lot darker. It depends on how the light hits it, but sometimes it’s impossible to read the bezel. When you look close, it’s as if the writing is a dark grey rather than bright silver like others I’ve seen. Is this normal, or do I have a lemon?

That's normal. I have the same version. That's why they updated the new one with white enamel for the numerals so they are easier to read. The omega website even talks about the white enamel for better legibility.

    Yep, normal for this model.

And, for me, the less blinged our ceramic was one of the reasons I picked this up instead of other divers in the same range.

But, to each his or her own, of course!

Thanks all! I do like the more subtle grey, but was worried when I saw a few similar seamasters with whiter writing that I may have an issue with the bezel.

Difficult to read and even worse to operate. Bezel on this thing is useless.

If you can’t handle the bezel just take it off and sell it to me...

For those with the newer SMPc..... is the bezel action much better than on the older ones?

Looks normal; I think the newer models are just so much brighter it makes the older version seem quite dark. As for the bezel action, I think they're pretty much the same. I can't tell much of a difference at all on mine.
