Share you current watch collection with us and tell us why

    I'll start.

Currently I have an SMP Quartz, IWC Pilot Chronograph, Tag Heuer F1 and PO 8900

The SMP was my first Omega and 'expansive' watch. As a child and young man, I had Lorus and Seiko watches. Oddly enough, a fake SMP kicked it off. I watched a few 007 films in China and picked up a throw away fake SMP. It never felt right wearing a fake, and within months I bought the real thing.

Several watches later, I picked up an IWC. I recall seeing an IWC in the film Vanilla Sky. I was a WIS by now, buying my first brand new luxury watch, a 3717.

It was the start of my WIS downtime mode. Money had to be put towards family matters. I sold a 2500c PO and wanted to fill the void with something else. I purchased a new F1 Grand Date Quartz. I loved the white dial with black look. It was a cheap way to get a beautiful watch with colour the really enjoy.

Fast forward to October 2019 after years away from Watchuseek. My darling agreed to a new watch, with a decent budget to match, to celebrate my 40th in January. I looked at Rolex/IWC and of course Omega. I couldn't believe increase in prices since I'd been out of the game. I couldn't help feeling drawn back to the PO. I wanted something different to the black PO I had. When I saw the 2018 Olympic LE, I was hooked. My wife told me to buy it before the Oct price rise.

So there you have it. My current collection and why I chose each watch.

Wonder if my daughter will grow up liking watches? I think it's too big, 39.5mm might suit her better.

one bump to see if there are any takes. Keen to learn more about what watches forum members have and why they chose them.

I think this thread would be a lot more popular if it weren’t in the Omega section

It should be in the public forum.
I'd rather buy another watch than another car

This is my current collection of, what I can best describe as, my 'nice' watches.
Why? Well, I've always had a bit of passion for 'luxury' watches. The quality of the construction, materials used, the attention to what I would call 'fine detail'
are what I feel sets these apart from other, so called, 'run-of-the-mill' watches.
As you can see, I have a definite liking for 'sports style' watches, I'm not that keen on the 'dress watch' style.

    And this:

    And not to forget:

It would take too long to tell about each watch and the reasons I bought it here

Some really nice watches here, well done guys.

I do not consider myself as the collector, I am more like a flipper who enjoys the dive watches.
That said, I have those three as I have a thing for blue watch

and those two cause I like them orange too:)

I was considering 8900 PO on an orange rubber, but its size is just too much for my taste. I kinda regret where Omega went with the sizes of 8900 series.

Black SMPc is my most versatile piece.

Also, I can't deny myself owning a nice Asian dive watch.

2220.80 and 2209.50 are keepers. Those are the watches which have attracket me to this hobby. Years ago, when I couldn't afford for the expensive watch, those two were the first watches which I really wanted, althought I was sure I do not need two watches.
Then my knowledge about watches was very lmited, haven't even knew the reference numbers and I used to call them "Blue Omega" and "Orange Omega", lol very pro I know.
Electric blue dial is more interesting than black dial of 2254, one day I will flip it for the same model but in titanium.
Over time I learned that black SMPc works better than the blue, and black is on its best way to be a keeper too.
Black SMPc is my daily, if I ever add another black watch it will be Sub or POLMLE.
I have a history of Seiko divers, ended up with Mk II Monster as this watch ticks the most Seiko boxes for me.
Citizen is Asia limited full lume watch which gave me this flamboyant vibe.

A plan is to trim it down to 3 maybe 4 pieces, mostly dive watches and something dressier.
Probably will come back to GS as the dressier watch, white dial but with Spring Drive this time.
