Cool Show us your heirloom watch

    Hi everyone,

I saw this topic at another forum, just thought it might be quite interesting to start one here.

It can be a watch (or watches) which you have inherited, or watche(s) which you want to pass down.

    Hi sherwoodschwartz,

Thank you for sharing, what a lovely watch!

I forgot to mention in my original post that it does not need to be an Omega!

I have a few I'll try to get some pics of them. I do have a pic of this one though. From "Old Papa" my great grandpappy

Grandfather's Omega Seamaster Deville - gold capped and from 1963 - my birth year. I don't really know if he bought it because of me, but I was his only grandson and he was my only grandfather due to family deaths etc..

He retired as an executive at CP Air - Canadian Pacific Airlines - and I have a little section of our bookshelf in our living room dedicated to his CP Air memorabilia - a small DC-3 aircraft model in CP colours, his flight wings, cigarette lighters that they handed out as freebies in the 50s and 60s, and a 14K gold pendant CP airline insignia that he wore on a chain.

When he passed in 1982, I got his Omega and it started my interest in watches and I always knew I wanted an Omega of my own.

I recently bought the Speediorite to honour the 1st watch (and thus him).

My siblings and I bought this Chronostop (Ref. 146.009) for my father, around 1970. He used to wear it all the time. Sadly, my father died suddenly in 1977, aged 56. My brother handed me back the watch about 5 years ago. I love it to bits!
