However the new one has the date at 6 and it blends in better making it look almost dateless at first glance

As for the HE, only butt hurt subs fans or haters don't like it. When you wear, it's not even noticeable and doesn't stick out.

Does it look like that HE is bothering me playing poker? nope

I don’t have either of the newer ones, but older. For me it has to have the waves.

Love it! Have mine on a rubber grey NATO today. Have had the last 4 gens of SMP and the current one is my favorite. All the incremental improvements are worth it.

Re: SMP 300M: Prior version vs. Current version

I visited my Omega boutique about a year ago and tried on the new version blue dial and also the black dial. I thought they looked quite nice but had zero interest in either. I was wearing my older 5 digit Submariner a lot and was happy, plus I have older Seamasters in the collection that I am fond of. The lack of SS Rolex watches and state of Rolex really didn’t bother me at all. As I was watching/reading reviews about the newest Seamaster vs Rolex for example, I started to appreciate more and more what a value the Seamaster was. Arguably superior to the Sub in ways, available right now, and easy to purchase below retail. They often come up in like new condition on bracelet for $3400-$3600.
Then I saw the white dial version and really think it looks great. I tried it on last week at an AD and find it very very nice. The newest generation is the option that I would choose.

    Just a WIS blabbing.....

I thought I was bad... LOL. At least I got different colored dials for my pair of two tones. I got a great deal on the all stainless black dial so that’s my current “beater”.
