Speedy PRO doesn't blow up in water.

Guess what!! I went swimming in the ocean with my speedy pro.
And guess what else? It still works.

Thought you scaredy-cats would like to know.

Forget about water damage, what about pirates trying to steal it??? There's a new worry for you all!

I did that last week too... took it swimming, and no problemo. Mine's a 97' that hasn't ever been serviced either, so surprised the seals held up. LOL.

Take an underwater picture of your speedy.

But before just remember to check the seals.. on your phone.

Plus one no speedooooo! Watch is robust enough to be on the moon pretty sure it can handle 10 feet of Earth water!

Wait a minute! You own a Speedy and you took it out of the watch box?

I'd love to see a picture of a Speedy underwater where someone's gone shallow diving and is surrounded by fish and stuff. I've looked for years for someone that's used a Speedy at a coral reef or such but all you ever see is pool shots.

If I could swim I'd personally take it as deep as maybe 5-10m. I definitely wouldn't trust taking it to 45m or such but I have no questions it can handle water in general. Some people even take these off to wash dishes in a sink.

2 weeks ago I went to the shower thinking I had my sea dweller on. Half way showering I realised with horror I had my 145.022 with a custom leather strap on! Took it off immediately , wiped it dry and let it out to breath to let the leather strap dry out as well.

So far everything's just dandy! I know , I know showering and swimming aren't the same thing, but this watch is almost 40 years old, so there was definitely panic in regards to the integrity of the case and chronograph push buttons ...
