They are being way too mysterious, I'm for sure going to be disappointed.

I don't mind the avalanche, in fact I am not following other SG brands;)

Yeah I have to agree this embargo .... is really annoying.

Yeah, I'm officially annoyed and bored at the same time with Omega's new plan. They held this event back in March during Basel. They should have allowed the press to see everything. If you don't like Basel, that's fine. But waiting two months to show anything seems to have been a misfire. Imagine how bad it will be if they make everyone wait, and then have an awful showing (similar to Tudor and Rolex). Then their strategy will look even worse.

I had not thought of that, but you are right; this has to be a home run in terms of product now. If not I think we can safely say assume the experiment to leave Basel has failed.

I read something even more annoying. Even on Friday the press will be allowed to publish only official renders, not live photos.

    O no that's annoying.

I haven't actually heard any good news from this event. Most of what I see on Instagram is people drinking champagne and eating expensive deserts given to them by Swatch. With the hashtag 'Timetomove' I also get lots of pictures of people doing exercise and people moving house and real estate agent listings LOL.

I am expecting pieces to be available pretty quickly when they finally pull the plug. But yes bored waiting!

I am most likely going to pass on the 50th LE unless it knocks my socks off.

I was really hoping for a big announcement like a new line of smartwatches using their Swiss OS across several of their brands, but evidence is not pointing in that direction. Looks like they're showing... this year's watches. I feel like SG has acted with arrogance towards both Baselworld and the smartwatch industry, and have alienated themselves with this press embargo nonsense on not one, but two events now. Unless they are holding some sort of ace up their sleeves, they are blowing it big time. I hope I am very wrong on this.
