Is there a way to differentiate the X-33 Speedmaster GEN 1 and GEN 2 movements?

As the title says. Movement without the watch. Are there some type of indicators? I was told the runtime of the background lighting was reduced to prolong the overall runtime.
And some other small efficiency changes. So I can't imagine the movements looking the exact same?

I think there were some upgrades made between the first and second gens (based on what I've read over the years), but according to this, they both use the Caliber 1666.

Hmm, so the difference is 1666C or 1666A calibre, and I guess the C or thermocompensated?

They all use 1666 movements. Any variants are not tied to which gen watch it is.

There has been lots of posts/speculation over the years about the/a thermocompensated version - I don't recall seeing any compelling evidence it exists.

A good search will yield all that is known here and elsewhere - it's a pretty specific topic.
