Very very nice. The white dialed Globe Master is on my hit list. A stunner for sure.

I'll be lying if this didn't factor into my decision a little bit, even though the GM is (in my opinion) superior in every measurable metric.
Every time I wore the Rolex, which is a pretty flashy watch, I felt like I had to wear the baggage that comes with wearing a Rolex. It's the standard-issue "Look, I've made it" watch.

(In the same way you can't just ride and enjoy a Harley-Davidson or a sportbike without people making assumptions about you and acting according to their pre-existing narratives.)

But ignoring all of that: the dial, the interesting case, the modern size, the top-notch movement, the time-zone jumping, the nods to Constellations of the past, the surprising toughness (100m WR) all made it a no-brainer

I can't wait to pick up some straps for it and see how good it looks when it gets really dressed-up.

Congrats. The blue dial looks great, in particular in the metal. I also appreciate the independent hour hand when traveling; it’s soo convenient.

No photos can do that watch justice. I tried one on a few weeks ago and its stunning. That dial really pops different shades of blue and the bezel has a lovely stark look that pulls back the dressiness of the watch. Good on you for going against the usual trend of "its got to be a Rolex". I quite like the DJs but theyre definitely going to attract attention and more likely to get "is that a real one" remarks. Thats one of the reasons I sold my Seadweller. I was surprised how tough that globe master is. It looks like its not something you would take out in the rain but it could be used as a summer beater down the beach if needed. Really cool watch, enjoy it in good health.

    Congrats on the watch....

I’ve gone through the same thought process myself as I have the DJ41 and have been looking at the silver dialled Globemasters.

Only thing putting me off is the lack of adjustability on the bracelet - the AD wouldn’t size the bracelet for me before i committed to a purchase and I wouldn’t commit to a purchase until i was sure the watch was going to be fit well on me, so I’ve held off.

On the plus side for the DJ41, the jubilee bracelet is supremely comfortable - more so than any of my AT models.

    Enjoy wearing the GM!!

    Cheers
